FISCAL INCENTIVES FOR MANUFACTURING

Tax holidays of up to ten (10) years for the manufacture of products using significant local input or goods produced exclusively for export or capital-intensive businesses investing in excess of TT$50 million (US$8.3 Million)
Exemption from Customs Duties on capital items (once project approval is secured)
Value Added Tax (VAT) Exemptions on imports for highly capital-intensive industries.
Income Tax exemption on dividends, other than interest on profits and gains derived from manufactured products prior to the tax holiday period.
Import Duty concessions on raw materials, machinery, and packaging materials.

FREE TRADE ZONE STATUS
These incentives are applicable if eighty percent (80%) of manufacturing is solely for export and / or international trading whereby participants will access:

Exemptions from Corporation Tax on profits, taxes on dividends and value added taxes on inputs for entities exporting eighty percent (80%) of their final production.
Exemption from import duties on capital goods, equipment, and raw materials associated with manufacturing.
VAT Exemption on imports of highly capital-intensive industries
Waiver of Container examination costs.
Waiver of Work Permit, Land & Building taxes.
